Head of Data Science – Credit Risk

An exciting FinTech company is scaling up their business and is looking for a Senior Data Scientist, to drive innovation. Work alongside over 100 driven and fun data experts and take that opportunity to join one of the most successful FinTechs in Berlin!

The tasks:

• As a senior data scientist, you’ll work closely with the risk managers, data engineers, as well as data analysts to actualize the potential derived from the data sets.
• You perform complex statistical analyses on large data sets and develop algorithms that translate data into actionable insights for the business.
• You work as a Fullstack Data Scientist, from data collection to cleaning, to feature engineering, to training, to validating and implementing machine learning models, including monitoring performance.

Your profile:

• Minimum of 2 years of industry work experience as a Data Scientist in a financial services environment, ideally in the credit risk field.
• Bachelor or Master in computer science or similar.
• Excellent coding skills in Python, good knowledge of AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Good know-how within Big Data technologies such as Hive or Spark.
• Fluent English language skills, German is a plus.
• Enjoy working in a fast pace Start-up environment.
• Any of the following technologies is a plus: Scala, JavaScript, Docker, GoLang, Kafka, Tableau, Airflow.
• Ideally experience in the FinTech Start-up scene.
